The roof panel and blind on a 993 Targa are operated by two rocker switches which are positioned where the spoiler
extend/retract and sunroof switches are located on other models. The spoiler extend/retract switch is repositioned
to the side of the handbrake, the sunroof switch is obviously absent.
The blind is simply extended or retracted using the rocker switch. The roof panel is opened in two stages. Pressing the rocker switch to the Open position once will open the small wind deflector panel. This can be useful to get a small amount of fresh air into the car. Pressing the switch to the Open position again will cause the large roof panel to slide backwards beneath the rear screen. Pressing the rocker switch to the Close position once will close the main roof panel, and a second time will close the smaller wind deflector panel. |
